The Town Hall of Maroua is a town hall located near the Cercle Municipale community center and the Complexe Artisanale de Maroua market.

The Lamido Palace
The lamidat was founded between 1836 and 1839 by the chief Vollarbé Ardo Ndjobdi. At the head of a lamidat is a Lamido, elected for life from among the members of the reigning family. He is of Fulbe race. The lamido is both a political leader and a religious leader.

The Fantasia
The populations of the city of Maroua reconnect with the Fantasia, this cultural event which is an opportunity for them to attend picturesque equestrian shows.

The Monument of IBBA SANGUE
Until 1902, the populations of Maroua always had the hope of resisting the colonial presence. The battle of Ibba Sangué in January 1902 symbolizes this resistance. This statue of a horseman armed with his spear was erected in the place of confrontation (Ibba Sangué) to commemorate this battle.

The city of Maroua, in the Far North of Cameroon, is an important trading center for market gardening products. The demand is increasing due to the increase in population.

The University of Maroua
The University of Maroua is a public university located in the city of Maroua in Cameroon. Each year, this Cameroonian university institution welcomes students from all regions of Cameroon and neighboring countries: Chad, Central African Republic. It was created by presidential decree 2008/208 of August 9, 2008.
